An absolutely wonderful experience. The food was nothing short of phenomenal, every dish truly at Michelin level. The service was fantastic as well: warm, professional, and perfectly attentive. Everything came together flawlessly. Highly recommended!

Top notch creative food in a relaxed atmosphere. Local produce and wines, inventive combinations and a few slightly out of the ordinary box meats on the plate. Everything was super tasty, from start to finish the flavours were there. We had the wine pairing and it was perfect, choosing the regular pour was a smart choice. Staff was attentive and friendly, always on the ball. Just a step away from Michelin star, but not quite there yet, and that's better anyway, it's much more relaxed.

Amazing fine dining experience in Cape Town, we had a few dietary requirements in our group and they catered for us excellently (with notice!) Food was amazing and would definitely recommend the wine pairing. Bread course with Beef Tataki, Mussels and Tomato was amazing with homemade bread! Beef tongue croquettes was another star dish and the Venison main course was 10/10!

Absolutely a must We had the 5 course lunch and everything was amazing, attentive service and some of the most beautiful food combinations. It was great as it was a set menu and you didn’t need to order. A true gem in Cape Town. We had the most amazing anniversary lunch Thanks to everyone at Belly of the Beast making our experience so memorable. Definitely a 5 star experience.

Finally successfully made a reservation for lunch. Even though it’s only 5 courses on the board, actually it’s more than that. I’m not a big fan of curry and lamb, but I like the fish, chicken liver moss, beef tartar. Especially love the Belnori cheese and secret homemade tomato jam. I can tell the menu is delicately designed and food is well cooked and served. Staffs are friendly. But I don’t know why they gave us a table near the kitchen instead of good seats by or near window. , even though there are no more customers coming.

My husband and I visited last week and it was the best meal we have ever had! Every part of the evening was such an experience, and each course was a new surprise. The whole meal had such an amazing range of flavours, and such well thought out combinations. The staff were also brilliant and so friendly.

Very nice experience. Love these little cards for dishes. Appreciate them using local ingredients. Very fresh and creative.

Lunch, tasting menu. Nice portions of delicious and creative food. Really like the fact that they utilize local ingredients. It was a five course meal with a great “snack” to start the meal. Really enjoyed most of the dishes, just a couple misses based on our opinion. Wines and cocktails were great, staff was pleasant.
